Default Wheel Bands perform

Here's a quick list of selling points for our Rimro-Tec Wheel Bands (MAP=$99):
  • We make Wheel Bands in Michigan in an OEM automotive parts manufacturing facility certified to the same quality standards used by Chevy suppliers to make parts for your Corvette.
  • Their durable construction acts like a 5 MPH bumper for rims and does help to avoid curb scuffs.
  • They install in less than an hour. No deflating tires and voiding of tire warranty.
  • We use high grade OEM grade attachment tape. No primer required or waiting a few days to drive at highway speeds (and above). And no gummy tape residue to clean up when doing repairs.
  • Patented two piece construction allows for quick changes of color inserts or repairs to light scuffs. If they are damaged on a curb hit and do come off at highways speeds they do not scratch or dent painted surfaces. (This is one of first tests we validated on the design and material selection before marketing product).
  • RimPro-Tec Wheel Bands are a longtime sponsor of Corvette Forum. We put our money where our mouth is. Order here. After hitting check-out button use discount code: vetteforum That will get you a set for $89 with shipping included.
  • When you're done the most common reaction you will get is, "They look like they came from the factory that way."

Hey Guys,

As an assist for a forum sponsor let us know if you can help us out on the following market intelligence:
  • Howard: Where did you hear about Wheel Bands?
  • AFVETTE: Why do you prefer a product that costs 30% more and requires tire deflation?
  • bbcb: What's your opinion on painted on wheel pinstripes?
  • Jbnick: Why did you decide not to install the Rim Blades you bought?
  • ALL: Can anyone tell the difference between the Wheel Bands photo and the painted on pinstripe photo?
Thanks,
Wheel Bands™ Wheelbuddy

Why do these rings look like they're about 1/4" wide while all the ones on the Rim Rings web site look like they're at least double that?

After I purchased the Rim Blades, I decided to remove my OEM Painted Silver Rims and purchase Black OEM Corvette Rims with the Red Stripe insert.

Default Wheel Bands follow up...

Hey everyone, Thanks for the feedback.

For forum members who like to buy from our authorized distributors like RPI and Corvette Mods you can order Wheel Bands through them and we'll work out a discount that gets your kit purchase down to $89 with shipping included.

Wheel Bands are designed for a factory finish/dealer show room look. That's why they look more narrow like on red line or SS edition wheels from an OEM.

Wheel Bands adhere to the front face of a wheel with the same attachment tape technology used in tape-on wheel weights. They do not affect wheel balancing, alignment or void a tire warranty because of potential affect on a tire bead seal.

For customers looking for a more aftermarket look on their pinstripe width, Wheel Bands can be ordered with red mounting track and red color insert to double up the effect as in photo below.

Wheel Bands with red mounting track and red color insert for fatter pinstripe look.

Other customers have used a red track with black color insert to create a red/black/red pinstripe affect...(color inserts can be snapped in and out in seconds to fit your mood)

Wheel Bands color inserts are also a quick way to set off a black wheel on black tire...
