WTB:C3 under 7k for a birthday gift for my wife.
I am looking for a gift for my wife for her 40th birthday in February. I do not want to spend over 7k and would prefer a pre 74 but that is negotiable. It does need to be red or a 78 pace car. Located in Ohio but willing to travel for the right car.
Thanks
Chuck

How about a '76 in silver or a '77 Tan? I know it won't move the needle from RED,
but IMHO, these 2 for sale are the best value and maybe worth a look at.
I'd look first at
ten things to look at in your 1st C-3

then -
Silver in Cali-

and the tan one is worth a look at, IMHO. I think it's in Ohio, needs new tires.

Others may chime in. A small dose of reality may hit you,
like it did me
IMHO, both of these are cruisers, not stompers, at all.
Why reach and possibly overpay for a Red or '78
needing a WHOLE BUNCH of work?
(I just viewed these 2 cars (from a distance)
likely driveable, depending on your State Inspection.
Here in MD it would be easier on Historic tags, no smog, for example.
Other States - Not so much.....
FWIW - these old cars need continuing Maintenance. = $
Good luck!

I agree...you're NOT gonna get a car in any kinda' good shape at $7k!!
IF U do get one for $7k, U WILL be putting at least that much in it to
make it halfway dependable!!

I appreciate the feedback. This is not my first rodeo and expect a number of issues that will need to be addressed for a car at this price. I have restored a couple of cars in my past and are not afraid of some busted knuckles. I am looking at a 78 this week with 30k miles for 7k

Try SearchTempest, which searches all the Craigslist's (+ebay if you care). You will find tons of 74-82's for $7000 or under and it appears you know these may need work too. And a few optimists quite a bit over for their 74-82's. But that's what makes America great, you can ask whatever you want for whatever you are selling.

Found a 1973 in michigan that I picked up today. killer deal! Planning on taking most of it apart and detailing it and returning most of it back to stock. Very excited to start the process.

I may a bit OCD.... I will probably remove the entire interior and touch up any blemishes on the panels and may remove engine and trans to detail under the hood. I also plan on sanding and buffing the entire car.
