Default Interesting warranty observation

Just noticed while looking at a window sticker at Kerbeck that qualified fleet purchases get a 5 yr/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.

I really doubt Corvettes are considered Fleet Vehicles!

Seems crazy that GM gives rental car agencies a longer warranty than individual consumers. What happens when they sell one of their rental Corvettes? Does the warranty go with the car?

Just a little incentive for fleet buyers most likely.

I can see that being worth something on a car/truck that gets 15-20K miles a year as a rental and not a typical Corvette owner that puts 10K miles on in 5 years

I put 7500 miles on mine the first year. Would love to have more miles especially with having an A8 tranny.

Did not know fleet vehicles had that long of a powertrain warranty.

Extending the powertrain warranty alone is fairly cheap, at least it used to be. But if you are going to buy an extended warranty may as well get one that covers most everything including the trans.

14-15 C7s also have a 5/100 powertrain warranty. 14-15 CPO C7s get an extended 6/100K powertrain warranty. The powertrain warranty was shortened to 5/60 for the '16 MY.
