Default UPP Goes T4?

Just trying to gauge interest, if we were to revise our kit to incorporate a full T4 turbo line, who all would be interested?

In doing so we will have a full line of capabilities, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, or 76mm. And it will be incorporated to accept a standard T4 V-band housing, which may unlock the possibilities for even more turbos.

This will also allow us to have multiple A/R housings available for the stg2 6182R's that we currently have, without the need for re-casting.

I may be interested. When do you think it would be available? What exhaust manifolds would it require? Could it adapt to LS7 exhaust manifolds?

Should be available in a couple weeks. It's designed to mate up to the factory C5 manifolds, or any aftermarket C5 shorty header that is a direct stock replacement. We can't get them to LS7's because the flange and location is too far off.

This! I could never understand the reasoning for the T3 flange; price point and availability perhaps. The T4 will greatly outflow the T3 given the same specs. And bigger A/R's is another win!

I say if it fits ok then go for it. It would give the best flexibility to the kit, but at the higher levels I would start making sure airflow into the turbo inlet is not restricted by too small of a filter and the intercooler is a really high flowing core.

The biggest reason was that 90% of our customers are sub 1000whp, most being 600-700whp. T4's are way overkill for that kind of power. So to better suit the majority of our customers, we opted that route. But more and more we're getting requests for crazy amounts of power....and we're needing to make some minor revisions and shoot a better install video....so it makes since to address everything at once.

Don't ban me but if you are making a change I would move to brand name turbos. Your kit is pretty expensive for coming with ebay turbos

T4 turbo with 3.5 inch down pipe. People are only trying to go faster these days. Soon 800 RWHP will be the norm for a street car turbo build.

That's what I wanted when I was in the market. It wasn't available and I was looking to make 1000 plus RWHP when I turn it up so I fabbed my own kit.

Would be a great option for ppl such as Bill who were looking for bigger power than the average car enthusiast. I think that would be a great option CK!

That kit would be very promising with T4 turbos as long as everything else was upgraded along with it. 3.5" downpipes, Better intercooler, 3" charge piping to the intercooler would be nice but don't know if its possible.

Ebay doesn't make turbos, so I'm not sure I follow you....

Unfortunately it,s not. 3" DP is about the biggest we're going to be able to squeeze in there, and even that is tight. Going to a larger exhaust after the fact would also help, but there's not enough room to put 3.5" in there in any fashion.

If you do end up offering T4 flanges and 3" downpipes I may be interested once I max out my single setup.

3" down-pipes have been standard for sometime now, but with the now better fab abilities we're revising the kit to accept T4 flanges and fit the 3" down pipes in there with a bit more clearance to hopefully resolve the tight clearance issues, and eliminate tire rubbing all together even with aftermarket rims (hopefully, depending on the rim size/offset).

You could call UPP. They may not check back here as often and it may be ready or just getting finished up.

We're in the final stages now, but we've already been taking orders for the new T4 setups. Right now the price hasn't changed and you can lock in at the base price, but once we're complete we're expecting the cost to go up a few hundred for the added labor. We're trying to address the last couple snags to make sure these things fit 100% perfect every time.
