Default Can anyone recommend...

...a wash & wax concentrate that DOESN'T leave water spots? I could probably add a little vinegar to the bucket, but I wanted to find out first if there is something on the market that won't leave water spots.

It's the water that the car is rinsed with that leaves the spots...essentially has nothing to do with what soap is used. Minerals in the water are left over after the water dries up...these are the spots.

I use Adams products and haven't had any problems with water spots. It might depend on how hard your water is and if you are washing in the sun?

We have some of the worst water here I've ever seen. To avoid water spots, I only wash my vehicles early in the morning or in the evenings when my driveway is completely shaded and, even then, I immediately pull them into my garage after a final rinse and dry them there. I also normally follow up with a quick detail to remove any water spots that may have formed in that short period. In addition to my DSOM Corvette I have a black Camaro ... both are water spot free using this method

it will be pricy but you can try to buy a few gallons of bottled water. I use waterless car wash by blackfire ( auto geek) this product has more lubricity than water. It was also recommended by mike Phillips ( the expert on TV) Mike sometimes works out of auto geek giving detailing classes

Simply wipe your car dry with microfiber towels after washing it. Am I missing something here? Lol

I agree vinegar does take out water spots. But you only get water spots when you let water dry on your car.

we have a partially black boat that obviously shows water spots like crazy so this is how we wipe it down every night when we get in just spray the vinegar water solution on and wipe it off. works great on glass, vinyl interior etc.

*i should note vinegar is acidic so it will remove wax

Do a search on the "no rinse wash method". I use Optimum wash and wax. There are other brands from Autogeek. You use distilled water. A gallon will was your car several times, believe it or not. No muss, no fuss, no water spots. Takes me about twenty minutes to wash the car.

Adam's Detail Spray misted over the wet car before you dry will assist in making sure there aren't water spots, and hard water and the sun do make water spots more prevalent.

Vinegar will remove water spots, but it also removes any wax or sealant on the finish as well.................
