Default 1989 6SP Manual C4, great condition, 2 owners since 1989

Hi,

I am potentially selling my 1984 C4, it's approaching 128 000 miles, it's had one owner since 1989, I am the second owner. The previous onwer put a lot of money into it, including Borla exhaust, Vortex air intake, hurst shifter, Z06 rims, high power distributor, etc, the engine is great and every mechanic who has looked at it says it's the cleanest C4 they have every seen .

Recent maintenance work that I have done is, new alternator, new brake master cylinder, new rear wheel bearings left and right, bypass hose. Previous owner always kept it garaged, I park it in an underground parking lot at my apartment complex, got no rust. I live in San Jose, there isn't any rain here anyway.

Selling price would be $8000.

Here are the car pics on my google drive.

Car still available, I bought it for 7k and invested 2.5k back into the car on:
*New battery.
*New alternator (AC Delco), August 2016.
*Oil change (December 2016), oil filter also replaced with a new one and oil cooler gaskets replaced.
*Coolant change (August 2016).
*New brake master cylinder (September 2016).
*Professional engine steam clean for topside and underneath ($260), (December 2016).
*New rear right+left wheel bearings (September 2016).
*New coolant bypass hose (August 2016).
*FULL 76 point inspection of vehicle (which including smoke check for checking any coolant leaks, inspection of fuel lines, brake lines, etc etc), (August 2016).
*Oil dye and inspection with UV light so the engine could be inspected for any leaks (December 2016), the oil cooler had been leaking a little oil so I got the whole engine steam cleaned and inspected, the oil cooler gaskets where the cause, simple fix.

All mechanics who touch this car always comment on how well looked after it is and that it's one of the really good ones.

Good bodywork, no dents, I have a bunch of pics and videos of the car that I've shared.

I'm the second owner. The previous owner had it for the first 26 years and he did a lot of work on it, it's been serviced by a Corvette Specialist (I don't do the work myself), at Corvette Connections San Jose and Fortes Bro's Sunnyvale. I did not do any of the work myself, it's all been professionally done.

It has a 6 Speed Manual transmission, the shifter is a Hurst shifter. It has Votex Air Ram and L98 (Lingenfelter type mods). Borla Exhaust.

Clean Title, Carfax will prove this. I have the Title in hand as well as the receipts for service/parts.

The car come's with a bonus of:
*Four original C4 rims (that need some refurbishing)
*Original shifter
*Spare targa top that needs refurbing otherwise I'll throw it away
*Two original radios and one antenna
*A bunch of parts that I'll just throw away or take to a scrap yard someday.

Car operates at around 175F to 185F coolant temperature and only goes to up to 210F when parked for a long time (e.g. idling for 10 minutes or idling at an intersection for 3 minutes) but temperature drops back down to the low 180's within less than 5 minutes of acceleration, this is both in the hot (Calfornia Summer and cold (California winter) weather). No leaks, no smoking exhaust, no engine knock or anything like that. I only use the most premium fuel (Usually Shell) and I add Chevron Techron Concentrate Plus or a similar complete fuel system clean additive once every 3 or 4 tanks.

Motivation for selling is to upgrade to a C5.

If I where to keep it, or if I get extra cash, the next things I'd do are:
*Air filter and fuel filter replacement.
*Buy a new set of rear tires (Goodyear EAGLE F1 GS-D3 315/35Z/R17 OR NITTO NT555 G2) .
*Fix the heating, cool A/C works but the heater doesn't heat up (might be a simple matter of cleaning connections, eitherway I have a good mechanic and this should be an easy fix for him).
*Buy a new set of Bilstein shock absorbers or get them re-gased, the ones on there are fine but as you can tell I'm ocd about keeping my car mechanically tip top).
*Fit new door weatherstrip rubber, again this is a cheap investment.

Other than that the car doesn't need anything else. Mechanically it's definitely one of the better cars to buy, it's a 27 year old car so it will always need more care than a brand new car but I can't see the new owner spending anything more than a few hundred dollars in total on any real mechanical issues. This is an honest posting where all issues that I think could need touching up on have been revealed. I've put about 3000 miles in the car during the last 6 months, it's my daily driver so I've had every chance to test and review the C4.

Pics and videos in my Google Drive and in original post. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...UxnMENaTk1UOVE

This is a well done post man. If I lived anywhere near you I would be sold in your description alone haha. Glad and I'm sure it will sell before too long!

Renewing this post, I am definitely leaving the USA on 20 August (for good work-wise) so I need to sell my C4 ASAP. Thinking of dropping to as low as 3k. I'm based in San Jose California.

Along with the rims and radios you are trying to give away in your other post this is a heck of a deal. Somebody out there should scoop up this deal.
