New to C6
Currently own a c5 with 38K. Looking to trade for a low mileage C6
in the 30 to 35 Thousand range . I want mileage under 25K. My question is are there years I should avoid. I know there are always issues with the first years of a new generation.

The common answer is get the newest and lowest miles one you can afford.
At $30k you should be able to get a low miles 2009+ without even working hard at it and can afford to be picky.

No particular year to avoid, they are all great. Of course, with the newer years you get better and more up to date stuff. I had an 05 auto...loved it. Absolutely no problems with it. I would not be afraid to buy another one. But as stated earlier, buy the newest one you can afford.

Looks like you are in an area where there should be a lot of Corvettes north and south of you.
I would start with the 2006 and move up if the price allows for the miles you want. They started the Paddle Shifter in 2006 and added some other goodies from their on. The exhaust option would be nice starting in 2008 I believe. Good luck
I used www.Cargurus.com to get a lot of prices and comparisons. A lot of others out there too.

2008 went to 430 Hp.
Also a narrow body has some of the fastest quarter mile times. Faster than a Grand Sport etc. ( obviously not faster than a Z06 nor ZR1).
You have to look out for the wobbly harmonic balancer. Fixable but a PITA, Torque tube rattle (bearings) ...check youtube for examples of both.
The older it is the higher the probability that it will need a new clutch. Try launching and see if the pedal sticks to the floor and how it grabs..
Other than that...2008 to 2012 are solid years ...the LS3 is a pretty reliable engine!
You should be able to find one 2008 + with less than 25k miles and a good price ....like this: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...39396948&Log=0
Or this one: https://www.carmax.com/cars/chevrole.../2009/13438753
