How much $$ to build 550-600whp all motor LT1?
Im new to the whole chevy world i used to own a 14' 5.0 that i sold in january for the sole purpose of buying a shelby gt350. Well my shelby that i found for msrp was gonna be built 11/4/16 so i decided to stop buy a chevy dealer to see what these grandsports were about, and that was that, its just a way higher level of performance and sex apeal i had to have one. I dropped that shelby order and started the process for a vette.
I have this^ 17' grandsport 7spd on its way to me and i wanna get a head start on what i would need to have an all motor 550-600whp LT1. I prefer all motor always have. I want it to be reliable.
To start off how can i get to 450-500whp and whats the cost?
Also will i need to beef up the 7 speed?
Once again im a complete chevy noob, only other chevy i've owned was a 96 cavalier when i was 17, lol.

Let me say congrats. As for all motor good luck. I am not sure it is even possible. With this new LT motor even a cam is a big pita. I went with an A&A supercharger, meth, and a catback. All in all about $8K if you do it right and you will be at 620RWHP all day long. My car drives 100% stock and will murder the tires if I ask. LOL

Well, you would be looking at headers and a cam, intake. Dont worry about the 7speed. Price is dependent of location and which brands and labor cost by you. Make sure its an LT1 extensive shop. The tune is completely different than the LS motors.
Why not go FI. Supercharge it and have fun.
Just do a search on here, there are plenty of threads on each type of mod... NA vs FI

looks like the answer is $24,000
you can make 600 rwhp with a blower for $6,000 and take it off when you're done with the car.

if i went with boost i'd be most interested converting my lt1 into a z06 lt4. has that been done?
or i'd just sell my lt1 and buy an lt4

I'd be happy with it. What's the cost? Where could i get the parts? Is there a way for us to have the z06 digital boost gauge??

PM T/A Kid, he put a Z blower on his car but I think he moved on from that.

If ya just want 550rwhp through that manual, just do a heads/cam setup on flex fuel.... goal accomplished...
can do a used lt4 blower on a stingray for less than 4K if you know what you're doing, make nice power..
Running an LT4 eforce (with stingray/Camaro runners) on my stingray at the moment, cost me about 5k, using lt4 accessory drive
