LT1 Exhaust Options
Well it's been about two months or so that I purchased my 1995 Corvette coupe. The previous owner opted to replace the stock exhaust with a Magnaflow cat back. Excellent quality all stainless exhaust. But I just can't deal with the drone inside the car. What other exhaust systems out there have no drone. At this point I would even consider a stock factory LT1 exhaust. Thanks.

Minimal drone, sounds great ...Corsa
No drone, quiet as a church mouse....OEM
I ran EM headers, bullet cats, and Corsa with my 500+hp 383. Sounded awesome at WOT going by the start/finish line on race tracks, yet reasonable on the street puttering around town.
I've been in plenty of C4s with no mufflers and various intermediate pipes. F'ing loud, plenty of drone at 1500-1700 cruising rpm. Every time I see claims otherwise it's a 20s something that thinks they'll never go deaf or a 50s+ trying to regain their youth while not realizing they are half deaf.

Bob, You know I've been thru a lot of exhausts. The only one I've had that had no drone was a Corsa system. I rebuilt a stock motor in a 93 that had a obx catback. Driving it around it had no drone either, but I think I had to cut and weld every pipe to line it up properly.

It either drones or it doesnt period
Exh sytems dont really pick up power much its more of an accessory than anything. There is no magic cure, X H some fancy something once you stray from stock it WILL get louder and probably drone. Dont blow smoke

Guess it's time to start looking for a Corsa or stock factory LT1 exhaust. Anyone know who has the cheapest prices on Corsa?

I'm dealing with the same drone too - read elsewhere to have a 1/2" hole drilled in each pipe and then weld in a pipe - area about at the diff. to create a "H" - should knock out the drone. This might be a cheap way to save several hundred dollars. I'm going to have it done this weekend -
