I have a new bumper cover and i will take the piece i cut off the front of the scoop and mold it into the old bumper cover. This was my practice hood, but it came out so good that it is installable.

uummmm, there is a number of factory moulded beam type pieces underneath. They also had metal supports that were at the mid point and at the front. The two round holes at the front for putting the emblem on the hood were metal. Yeah,, they were metal strange as it sounds. I took pictures of them... I sepr=erated the SMC off the top of them.. and left all the factory bracing undisturbed.

That does look nice. Also noticed the license plate plug is molded in as well and that looks great too. Too bad they want a front plate here because THAT one is really clean. Don't have to wonder how my car would look with that because it's the same color and year as mine!

saw that one
I had saw that one, and when I found to set the scoop that far back I would have to cut into the factory support that sits right there. So I decided to move it forward to clear the support by 1/2 inch. I think it looks good being shorter than the one in the pic. thanks, Gggg

For what it's worth, the lines that form the front of the scoop leading to the front of the car end prematurely at the bumper. It looks awkward to my eye. It's like the front lines need to be continued onto the fascia to complete the look. (IMHO)

Reminds me of the Ferrari 550 Maranello, and the C6Z.
Looks nice, good work!
