Default Picking up another C7Z from Mike Furman today

2nd week in a row (both Thursday) my friends and I are heading from NJ to Criswell Chevrolet in Maryland to pickup another 2016 Z06 equipped with the Twilight blue design pkg. This car being white. My car, which we picked up last thursday is shark gray.

I put up a thread in the ZO6 section
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...6-today-3.html

My friend Matt, owner of Tune Time Performance Lakewood, is trading his 2016 CTS V in for the C7Z.

On the way down there (a 3.5hr journey) last week to grab mine, Matt called me and my chauffeur Dave, in the truck and asked me to call Mike and have him hold the white Z06. So I called him on my phone and with Matt in the background I relayed the request to which Mike respectfully obliged!

Hopefully in a few hours we will own 2 of only 43 Z06 Coupes produced with the Twilight blue design package. His being 1 of only 27 (white) and mine 1 of only 8 (shark gray).

I Wasn't all that into the low number option cars until I went to Criswell last week and Mike explained the low production numbers of this package (of the three, spice red and black suede design Twilight blue design being the rarest).

Just wanted to share the experience with fellow members. I know reading these threads before being able to (find a way) pull off grabbing a Z06 over a base (which was my original intention and budget lol) that i found great enjoyment in the stories. New Drop Load airlift trailer should make this trip easier than last week!

Zoom in on those tires lol. Nerve wrecking. The new trailer is open flat deck thankfully. Should cut down load time significantly plus no ramps on new one. Trailer goes to ground

To new for this close after a couple years much easier to cope with these types of calls

here's the chart from national corvette museum which is one of the best organizations for any enthusiast imo. I also have the insurance (as will Matt once we pick up the Z06)

I'll update with pics and video as day progresses.

Again cannot be happier to grab a Z06 (3LZ) with this package for such a ridiculous price and be fortunate enough to get it from Mike Furman Corvette Salesman and Expert.

Me with mike on delievery last week. Perma grin.

Cannot stress enough if you want a fantastic purchasing experience as an enthusiast getting it from anyone other than Mike youre missing out.

wow, those wheels look great with the white. I must say that as much as i love the corvette i would have a hard time getting rid of the V for the z06. Was he disappointed in the V or just wanted something different?

Not at all. Just missed having a vette. He has a couple other rides that family can run around in.

And with the amount of C7 Z06's out there and the desire by owners to actually drive them the way they were intended it's a smart business move as he has a huge performance business with cnc machine, 3d printer awd mustang dyno etc etc.

Corvette guys are into "their" cars more so than 3rd Gen V guys (at this time, maybe things change down road maybe not).

nope. And I have to tell you I don't think I will be installing any. They all come with stage I spoiler. Car looks athletic without the aero imo (actually Matt's also). Maybe my taste and his will change but I like it with just wide hips and clean bottom lol

I agree. Both narrow- and widebody C7s look so much better w/o the aggressive aero bits.

AWESOME Cars! I'm local and will be doing some mods in the near future. I had a V2 before the Z06 and always heard good things about TT. I'm going to let them do the mods on my Z.

Great post ! I enjoyed the story and the chart regarding different package numbers. Planning on GS in late spring and thinking of Spice Red with AW. Enjoy those corvettes.

I got my C7's oil changed at Criswell yesterday and saw that beauty sitting there. Gorgeous!!! If it had still been for sale I may have been tempted. ;-). White with blue has always been one of my favorite combos. Enjoy!
