Default Big Bore cathedral Port Vs. Ported LS7

I read and article some time back and to my surprise it was saying that a top notch big bore cathedral port head could out perform a ported stock LS7 cylinder head on the same motor (apples to apples) in the PEAK power category.

I can no longer find said article, but I am looking for some feedback. I'm considering building another motor this winter.

Thanks,
Jeff

Seen some tests that favour cathedrals, but it's all about the combo.
