Default WTB: 2017 Z06 track brake cooling kit

For all you guys getting your 2017 Z's, I'd like to buy your auxilliary brake cooling kit. GM included a set of ducts, fasteners and ring adapters that are designed for track use only. The dealer won't even install them. If you have them and don't plan on using them, I'd like to buy them. Please let me know.

It would be nice if parts vendors come up with a kit, or GM itself.

I'll be third in line on this purchase.

I cant see why a 17 owner that's not tracking would want them a total waste on the street. Although there are a few that will keep the kit so in 100 years they have every option their rare car came with to get millions of dollars at sale

This should be available as a kit soon from GM I bet.

Well, Z51 already comes with that pre-installed. This seems to be in addition, and a bit more aggressive.

Would you have a GMPP part number available for the kit? We have a distributer my company buys from and rather stick with our system. I hope you understand and appreciate the offer.

WOOOHOOO!!! Cultrag found the part number and has these on order! Just received notification a few moments ago. I have the first one shipping to me today and they have 10 more scheduled to arrive on Friday! Contact Gene or Patrick to place your order!

They confirmed, 100%, that these are the 2017 updated ducts we all want.

You didn't mention pricing? : )

By the way, do we really need these? I have a Z51, and the cooling ducting looks pretty good to me. If anything, I believe it needs directional front rotors for much better ventilation (like DBA replacement rings I got from KNSBrakes), not more ducting.

I am running Girodisc front rotors for track use, or trying them out at least, rather than destroying my Carbon Ceramics. The Girodisc has a pretty decent looking directional vane but I have not seen the OEM iron rotors for comparison. Brake cooling helps everything from pad and rotor life, to seals, etc. Whether you get that from better rotors, ducting, or a combination of the two, if you are going to track your car, you should look into brake cooling, in my humble opinion.

Oh and about $76 + shipping.

Well, at least with stock Z51 power, it seems Z06 brakes + stock brake ducting are adequate. With bigger wheels and tires, every additional ducting is a possibility for more clearance issues, which is why I'm a bit concerned. I do have 315/30/18 front tires : )

Before you get too excited Patrick confirmed it's only the ducts. They don't have the metal discs that go behind the rotors yet.

Fine with me. I don't know that I intend to install the rings anyway as I don't believe they work with the carbon ceramic rotors (although not confirmed) and have no intention of installing/removing this between track days. The additional duct is the part I desire most. The rotor ring will certainly help catch a bit more air from the duct but the duct by itself is a step in the right direction.

Thank you for the referrals and all. The kit we are selling for $75.60 is the track brake duct kit only. We are working on getting the wheel blockers next. We have the brake duct kits in stock. Send an email to gene@cultragperformance.com or give us a call.

How do these differ from the one that already comes on the Z51?
