Good job, Dad!
Remember, you didn't lose a daughter, you gained a son!
Trust me, I know. I've got two daughters and gained two great sons in law!
Grandkids are great too - I've got 4 of 'em. What you do now is help your daughter and son in law get started, and prepare for your grandkids fiture. It's never too early to start college savings accounts. A couple hundred bucks a month can be $50k by the time they turn 18.

Congratulations! That's a beautiful young lady you raised. He's a very fortunate young man that just made an excellent choice in life. I wish them all the health and happiness this world has to offer. God bless you and your family.

Very pretty girl, you should be very proud of her, and yourself for being a great single Dad.

Congratulations on your new status in life; now, you get your life back, and get to do all those things you've put off. Also, some of the other advice you got here, such as starting college 529 accounts for the grandbabies, when they arrive, helping the newly weds w/projects around the house/yard, giving them stuff you've had for awhile and don't need anymore, but they could use, etc. etc., is good advice too.
Also, kudos to you on a successful launch into the world, but, you'll find, if you haven't already, that they never really "go", and now you'll have both her and him in your life, but just not as much as before the launch.

Thanks everyone, some real good ideas pointed out to me...Especially the 529's...
They will get a lot of the stuff i don't need/want once they get a house..but not the car...they both can't drive a stick shift...
They both are neat kids...they are workaholics right now, just enjoying life...
Other than my daughter, He's the most mature 26 yo I've ever met, seen a lot that most will/should never see...

Congrats Jack! You may worry less, but you will always be concerned. It's the natural part of parenting. You can pat yourself on the back and pump out your chest. Dennis

Whats really hard is to step back and let someone else help her, especially since I've been doing it for 26 years...but i know shes in really really good hands and he can handle anything thats needed and if they need help I'll be there for them...
