Default Painting the halo a contrasting color

Alright all -

Just wondering if any of you have painted the halo on your C4s, similar to want some have done on the C5s? Mine is a bit scuffed up, where someone tried to break into it while the previous owner had the car. Was thinking, I could scuff it up, then paint it a nice satin black. Just wondering if anyone else has done this.

I had a carbon fiber wrap put on the halo and third brake light, probably just as cheep and can be removed easily. I went one step further and had the top wrapped also. I think it looks good. Mike

The "B" pillar including the roof section between removable part and the back glass. I had an 01 Z28 Camaro and the black halo was the only way to tell the Z from a base v6 car

I like it, especially the carbon fiber wrap, where did you get it? I see that you're an Army Vet as well, I retired in '04 out of Fort Leonard Wood. Anyway, thanks for sharing

Paint the halo and roof in gloss black. I was inspired by the 1988 35th. Here is my previous 1989:

Red halo on a black 96? I'm going to eventually get it repainted anyways but I feel it'd look nice for now if I executed it cleanly.

Yeah I'm convinced, I'm going to do it, or put it on my list of things to do. I'm ordering brakes and brake hardware kit this week. I got the shifter sorted out on Sunday. One thing I still need to address is the targa top rattle with all bolts tightened. It rattles on the driver's side front. I was thinking of getting an inner tube, cutting it to fit, and gluing it down in order to provide some thickness, as well as vibration damping and absorption. Thought anyone?

I had mine done in San Antonio, thru a friend of a friend. Material was about $100 and labor was about $100. This guy had a catalog of samples and I picked the one I wanted. Find someone that does wraps in your area and they should be able to help you if that is the way you want to go. We figured that the cost of paint would be about the same if not more and it was far less work. The wrap gets a lot of comments. Mike

I'm usually quick to on any custom/trim paint schemes or accents (especially). But, that one looks like it belongs there - especially in the satin finish w/ the louvers.

Johnnymo63, the dark tint on your windows makes yours stand out the best, imo.
