Default Driving a C6 Z06 in LA

Hello,
Wanted to see if anyone has any experience driving a C6 Z06 in LA. Have you ever gotten the car stuck entering or leaving a parking structure either because the nose hits the ground or bottoming out over an entrance that goes over a sidewalk? My concern is that the entrance to my garage is shaped like this /----\
\
\

A base c6 lives in my building and he says he doesn't scrape if he comes at it sideways but hits a bit if coming straight on but not by much.

This is the car I am looking at so if anyone can tell anything is wrong with the car from the ad let me know.

I plan to get the heads and transfluid changed when I buy the car.

Kind of wanted to get others opinions before buying the car. I figure a z06 owner could look at the picture and based on experience know if their car would have a problem. Also does anyone know what wheels are on the car I am looking at? Dealer said there wasn't a manufacture mark.

Tough to see down the ramp, but I wouldn't be afraid of that.

Impossible to tell from just a photo.

I drag my front splitter every time I leave/enter my driveway. My street is relatively flat and my driveway slopes about 8 inches in 30 feet. But, the gutter at the entrance to my driveway has a drop, and a photo would appear to have no problems.

Last May, I stayed four days at the Springhill Suites in Deadwood, SD and they have an underground parking garage that looks like your photo, BUT, I never scraped my front splitter.

While visiting the NASCAR museum in Charlotte, NC a couple of years ago, when leaving the flat parking lot across the street, onto the flat street, I nearly tore my splitter off(had to replace it when I got home) because the gutter had a large drop, just like the one in front of my driveway.

Stayed at the Aquarius Casino/Hotel in Laughlin, NV several years ago. Pulled up in front on their flat driveway and checked in. But while leaving I came upon their "speed breaker". If I had attempted to cross over it, I would have severely damaged the underbody of my car. It was about 7-8 inches tall. I refused to drive over it and finally the valet guy cleared the cars behind me and I did a 180 and drove out the entrance. I then drove to their multi level parking garage and had no problem driving the ramps from level to level, etc.

You looking to buy a C6Z with the ZR1 style splitter, or the regular (far smaller) front splitter?

EDIT: Just looked in the ad...its a regular (non-ZR1) splitter. You'll be fine most likely...they cost a couple hundred bucks for the part if you chew it up. Just take it on an angle, which is what you should do everywhere in these cars.

You are going to have to take a picture yourself, so we can see both sides.

In LA be careful of Gas stations. Some of them have absurdly steep driveways.

Dragging the splitter or the air dam in front of the wheels is an unfortunate fact of life on a low-ish car like a C6. Because of that, the stock splitter and dam are pretty stout and can take a good amount of abuse. Mine drags almost every time I enter/leave my driveway and in most parking garages.

Most of the marks from normal wear and tear can be sanded out if they become annoying. If it gets too far, OE-style replacements can be had in the $2-300 range.

Is it a progressive ramp up from inside the garage to the begging of the ramp? That would be the part to focus on. And it looks like you have room to take that at an angle, so again, you are probably fine.

as others have said they drag going out of there own driveway add me to the list, after you have driven car for a while you get used to it and can see when there mite be a problem just part of having a sports car, i have replaced the front splitter once not a big deal, a small price to pay for a great handling car.
picture you posted looks to be not a problem.
