Any experience with NCM insurance?
Looking at alternatives to better protect my project. This might be one, but I don't know anything about it. Please make me smart about it, specially if you have first hand experience with them.

No claims experence but I have looked at thier pricing and policy fine print and found it to restrictive for a car i wanted to drive whenever and wherever I wanted to but is not a daily driver.

good for me,,,
So far, its been a great experience with NCM. Have two cars with them, one with a 6K mile annual limit....the other a 3K mile limit, both non-daily drivers. Saving me many $$$.

I have agreed on value in case of a total loss, 6000 miles a year limit, which I don't even come close to.
Don't take it to the track even for an event as it will not be covered. Ask me how I know,,, or don't actually
You must show proof of another vehicle to drive, and you cannot drive it to work or errands.

I looked into it as well. Mine isn't a daily driver and I average a little over 3K miles per year. They had too many restrictions. I asked if I let my father or brother drive it are they covered and the answer was no.

I just paid my third premium last week. Cost is HALF as much as State Farm WITH agreed value. I think that I'm limited to 3K a year but with only 6,400 miles in 10 years that is not a problem for me. I have a friend that has had NCM and has had a claim that was handled with ease...FWIW $520/yr

I guess, the assumption is the lower the risk the lower the price.

Well worth the try. I pay around $1k for all 4 of my cars, 2 vettes included, but I know I wont get anything more than KBB for a base C6 instead and lose my azz with all the modifications. So, thank you guys once again, have plenty to go on.

I went with NCM (The actual insurance company is American Modern Home Insurance Group with an A+ rating) when I realized USAA had been screwing me for years. When I took out my policy, NCM simply asked me what the value of my cars were, and that was that. I pay about $690.00 a year for 2 Corvettes (1978 and 2012). I have 6k mile limits on both Corvettes. My 2012 usually gets 4-5k per year, and the 1978, maybe 3k. The good thing is that unused mileage roles over to the next year. When I renewed, I was not asked to provide current mileage.
I don't have any claim experience. My policy says that I have some "unique" coverage:
1. Agreed value with inflation guard. If a total loss occurs, I get the agreed value plus 2% of the agreed value per quarter throughout the policy term.
2. $2,000 coverage for spare parts, accessories, and emergency tools.
3. $75.00 towing coverage per incident.
4. $600.00 trip interruption coverage
5. $750.00 for injury/death of pet.
NCM may not be for everybody, but for what I use my Corvettes for, it's the best for me.

I've been with them (NCM) for over two years now with a 6000mi. limit. I found them very easy to work with and priced at have the cost of most major insurance companies, how could you go wrong. Give Bobby Joe a call. I'm sure she would be happy to answer all your questions.
