Default First Corvette

I bought my first Corvette Monday and I couldn't be happier. I have been in search of a low mileage Yellow C6 convertible for awhile and found one that I was very interested in. The problem was that it was 7 hours away in Ohio, north of Columbus. I have looked at four yellow C6's (and one C5) in the past year and have been disappointed , I didn't want to make a 7 hour trip and be disappointed again. I reached out to club members and several said they would take a look at it for me. I'm not going to say I was surprised because there are some great people here.
Big thank you to MIkeSVT04 for taking the time to meet the owner and look at the car for me and to 1968swbbigblock who recommended Corvette Care in Powell to inspect the vehicle.
I was going to trailer the car back but knew driving season is pretty much over in Northern Michigan, would probably only get a few miles in before it went into storage......so I grabbed the wife and went on a road trip. I decided to rent a car one way and drive the vette back......great decision!!! Scott at Corvette Care was able to get me in for an oil change prior to the 440 mile trip back. While I was there I decided to change out the stock wheels for a set of R86's he had....great guy to deal with.
Had sun shine and was smiling for the 440 mile trip home.

Much better look.....I think

She's beautiful!

Sometimes the disease incubates for many years. There is no way around it though. Once caught it will become full blown!

Congrats and I wish you many years of safe enjoyment!

Congratulations! Nice choice for your 1st Vette! Corvettes are just supposed to convertibles.

Best of luck with it.

Great looking vette. I had a 2007 velocity yellow convertible before my current 2010 GS coupe. What year is yours and how many miles?

VERY nice. Not to mention the wheel swap was well worth it. It looks 20x better.

Congrats, and like others have said, the new wheels look way better. Too bad you're in Michigan, hopefully you'll get to enjoy it before the winter.
