Default Putting together my ultimate track/DD car

Decisions, decision, decisions. So ready to order my Grand Sport but I'm trying to decide on a couple of options:
First, the Z07 package. I think I'm going to pass on that because many people have told me that the CC brakes aren't any better than steel and cost a lot more in the long run (although I hate brake squeal). Plus it won't take me too long to burn through the first set of tires after which I'll buy the PSSC2 tires.
Second, the stage 2 aero. I'm assuming that the $2,995 Carbon Flash Painted Ground Effects option is the stage 2 aero. Not cheap but I'm guessing this will have a significant performance advantage on the track.
The rest of the choices were easy; stick, Competition seats, Performance Data Recorder and some striping.
Any trackers have an opinion on these choices?

You just described the GS that I ordered for track and street duty.

2LT (3LT not worth the extra $ for extra leather and fancier headliner)
Comp seats with suede inserts, shifter, wheel
Carbon flash ground effects
Nav/pdr
Black wheels (shows less brake dust and looks better)
No Z07 - don't want CCB due to cost of rotors and planning to upgrade to AP racing kit - don't want Sport Cup 2's as I will run slicks and prefer pilot sports for street - only down side is missing Z07 springs and sway bar bushings; will likely run DSC controller and upgrade sways to LG and source Z07 springs

Judging from you avatar you know what you're talking about. Like the brake upgrade. What's a DSC?

Z07 package is not just CCB brakes; it also comes with much stiffer springs, and stiffer shocks with unique tuning for the MRC as well as ABS, stability control, PTM etc. If I were you, and if I were to buy a GS for tracking I'd definitely get the Z07. If you don't want the CCBs (and I agree with you there), you can always either sell them for good money, or put them aside, buy regular Z06 brakes for only $1150 front, $1000 rear, and you're done. You can also choose to get the Girodisc 2-piece units, which would keep weights very similar to CCBs up front, and at or BELOW CCBs at the rear (since it comes with aluminum hats instead of steel hats the OEM rotors come with for the rear to accommodate the handbrake).
