It's really hard to say which would be the better buy without going and looking carefully at each one. We just bought our first C6 (an '07 coupe) and spent nearly four months looking at different cars. We went through a dealer, though - - they offered a warranty and an exchange within 5 days if we didn't like the car. We took it to a reputable Chevy dealer in our area and they went through the car with a fine-toothed comb, with the result that ours was well maintained and a good purchase.

There are several issues to consider, the first being relatively low mileage. Then you have to ask if the car sat for long periods of time without being driven - - are their any leaks from dried out seals? What was the maintenance history with the previous owners? Have the recalls for the particular vehicle been taken care of? There are a lot of other things to consider, as you know. I'd ask if you could take whichever car on which you decide to a reputable service center and have them go through the car carefully. Hope this information helps!

Red one hands down. From an individual so you have a known history. Secondly, I detest that stick on fake wood dash and it WILL start to come loose and look bad if you leave that car out in the sun with the top down. It has also been garage kept which means you will not have headlight glazing. Lastly, the red one has Nav which means it is at least a 3LT car.

The red one looks well taken care of and lower mileage. It also doesn't have all that ugly wood on the dash.

Although not a fan of the interior trim, I'd go with blue one for $4k more mainly because it has both the 3LT and Z51 packages. For me, both packages were a must have when I bought mine back in '06. The red one doesn't state what packages it has ... you could call & ask, but given neither is listed/advertised, I'd doubt it has them. Good luck in you selection.

Both cars are 3LT, but I would personally go for the red one because I don't like the wood appliques and the top color of the blue. True, you can swap all of that if you really hate red.
Red one seems to have aftermarket exhaust, blue one has the gumby wheels.

I would pick the one that best measures up to the following, and then the one you like best if you feel all is equal. Sometimes when you see/drive them something just pops on one and not the other.

1. Carfax
2. Any warranty
3. Drive it slow and high speed
4. Previous owners - how old, Mods?, tracked?
5. Options you want
6. Someone changed the exhaust on Red one. Can't see blue one.
7. Finish and Wear
8. Front inside Tire wear.
9. Biggest price difference will be the mileage, now and in future if clean car.
10. Everything working, not codes on DIC.
11. Blue one has list of options, red one you have to check.
12. Checking other vitals, service records, fluids etc.
13. Top condition
14. HUD

Most things are expensive to fix on a Vette unless you can do some of the work.

If they both past above and your likes, I would go with lowest miles. Seems to be the best buy, but need more information to compare.
I would assume your Dad would enjoy a pretty stock Vette, unless he's a track kind of guy. Better exhaust sound is always good if not too loud when cruising.
Good luck

The red one would be my pick. It looks unmolested and has fewer miles, and it is $4K less. I would look into the history of each one before making a decision.

There are three or four to my knowledge.

One deals with the possibility of low beam headlamp failure in model years 2005-2007. The recall does not apply to later models, but GM has extended it as a customer service gesture.

Another deals with noise coming from the (rear) differential on moving from a stop, etc. GM replaced the fluid under warranty and that cured the noise.

A third recall, I believe, was initiated to handle failures of the under hood fuse box (and some circuitry) due to the high underhood temperatures.

I'm not sure if there is a recall on this, but some owners have reported a starting issue with their C6s, caused by a failure of a relay. Mine had this problem and the relay was replaced under warranty.

Lastly, though I don't think there is a recall (yet), some C6 owners have reported the smell of gasoline when they park their cars. There seems to be a definite problem with fuel pooling on the top of the fuel tank. As this is a serious safety issue, it should be reported to the NHTSA if you encounter it. The best advice - - don't top off your C6's tank after the nozzle shuts off.

Here are links on some of the recall information.

If the story checks out, the red one. If the story doesn't check out, the red one still.

I don't think that that fake wood looks bad at all. The windscreen on the blue one is also quite useful. I have it on my vert. Of course you can buy one yourself and add it to the red. Although I like the blue color the best I would skew towards the red only because it is a private seller and you can probably get good maintenance records. Assuming they check out, of course.

Both cars look great. You can't go wrong if you have the cars professionally inspected and they check out.

Go for the Red one unless you just don't like Red cars. Lower milage, looks better taken care of than the blue car. Pictures can be very deceiving, look and drive both cars before deciding. Get the history of both and then make the call.

the red car is very good looking and a lot less miles than the blue car. I also don't like that fake wood **** that is stickon and will come loose in the heat and sun.
That said the red car has a lot of miles on it for a supposed Sunday only driver. But then again the price isnt to high. I myself have a 2007 coupe Montery Red that just turned 19000 miles this past weekend. I bought it a little over 2 years ago with 14500 miles on it. It's a 3lt loaded to the max and i paid 32000 back then. Dont regret it at all. I hade a 98 vert with 77000 miles that was a money pit always something needed for it. Keep in mind as they get higher miles more maintenance will most likely be needed.
My only expense has been oil and filters. thats if u dont count bling LMAO.

GL to you on whatever you deceide to do.

Red one, another vote. It kooks to be in very good shape. I like the blue, but not so much the interior color and it appears to be a dealer selling that car. Have you looked at local GM dealers for certified used cars and extended warranties?
