Rick crawford ported intake gains???
I was told to look in to getting a rick crawford ported intake on my 08 ls3 vette. Just wondering if anyone got one and like the gains or was disappointed.

It's not something that's in question. Look into the g8 world and you'll see that his and the gpi intakes with the radius rods are proven performers.

Rick's stuff is awesome but I don't do FB and I don't have 2 months to wait which is what Rick quoted me.
I did the other radius rod version from Gwatney Performance and although I haven't dynoed the extra pull up top is very noticable. It only cost $250 and turn around was 2 days. But looking at photos, Rick's is nicer but Gwatney told me all that other stuff is worth 1-2 hp max and not worth the extra effort.
Good luck.
PS. Tony Mamo told me not worth doing a standard port job but he doesn't add radius rods.

PA Blue C6, were you already tuned before as well?
Or was the first time for you to get a tune?

My friend called Crawford about an intake and he recommended another company because he was to backed up so he got one from them (I think it was GPI?) Anyway he went from consistent 11.0s @123 to four 10.80s @125 in a row. This was on different days but the weather on the first test was better. So in the end we believe the intake was worth a solid tenth and a half and 1.5 MPH.Prettyimpressive for an easy bolt on that doesnt break the bank.

I have an engine with ported heads/ ported throttle body, headers, intake/ tune, but a smallish cam. And as a result of this smallish cam you could feel my power band go very flat after about 6100 rpm, pre ported intake manifold.
I didn't swap the cam because further improvements would have cost a lot of money/ drivability/ and mpg for you know, maybe 15-20 more rwhp.
So I think my set up was really optimum for the Gwatney radius rods to improve my engine, and it really did. You can easily tell as the engine zips right up to about 6600-6700 rpm (where I now shift) and the power does not fall off at all like it use to. I feel like I got my new bigger cam but for a lot less money!
Bang for the buck, no mod has ever had more seat of the pants improvement to my car. Very pleased.
