Default Do you miss your trade-in?

Do you miss your trade in/car you sold, in order to purchase your Vette? I have no regrets with my 2016 Z51M7 purchase. It's a great car! I do miss my modern muscle 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT Hurst Series 1 though. It was an entirely different beast. It had roughly the same horsepower/torque (with a tune, intake and exhaust) as the Vette. It was a manual trans as well. Obviously quite a bit heavier, but the 3.92 gears helped! It was 1.5 inches lower than stock and much wider wheels and tires than stock as well. The exhaust was crazy! Sounded like John Force coming down the street. The color was bright and the car got tons of attention everywhere I went. It was alot less refined, kinda like me I guess!!!

The only thing I miss about my 2011 cts-v coupe is the supercharger..... 556 hp was nice. The V was a real muscle car while the Bette is more a sports car. To very different vehicles but the corvette is more for me hands down.

I sold my 08 Vette over two months ago and received my 17 yesterday. The time alone has made me feel a sense of loss, as I spent 9 years with the old car and it was the best car I ever owned. That much time and a car kind of becomes part of you. It sounds stupid to say this I know, but it had become part of how I personally identified myself... not to others, but just my own self perception. Ya, its stupid and I'm gonna get over it real easily as I start putting miles on the new car.

I agree totally! It's more of a passion and hobby for me. It's not just an "A" to "B" mode of transportation. I become attached to the cars I hand pick and purchase. I have beaters I drive in the winter and if it dies, I can move on to the next one with no issues.

It took me more time at the dealer deciding whether or not to trade in for the Vette than it did for the rest of the transaction! Yeah I know, weird to most but I've been that way forever. Years back I had every car I ever purchased! Meaning every car I bought, I still owned. Was time to let go of some and move on. It can be a sickness....

Sometimes I miss the vert. But, then I look at the C-7 and all the missing goes away.

Of course I miss my trade-in! I loved that car and until I got my Stingray it was by far the best car I ever owned. Had I been able to afford it I would loved to own both of them.

At times I wish I would have kept her, but then I get in and drive the C7 and it's all forgotten !

I miss the luxury from my 2011 Dodge Charger R/T. (Which was wrecked, and replaced with the Camaro which was then replaced with the C7)

I had a beautiful 2007 Silverado that I miss dearly. At my age, it just wasn't realistic and feasible to keep it when I got my Vette. Upon completion of my master's degree, I plan on rewarding myself by getting another truck to help fill the void

I have in the past. That is why I'm keeping this one this time around.

And adding this one.

Some days I miss her, but then I open my garage question what I ever missed!

Miss my R8 sometimes, mainly the uniqueness and the ease of driving. The Z06 is much faster, but a lot less forgiving. Also the A8 in the Z06 is much better than the R-Tronic in the R8, but the R8 slamming shifts as pretty cool in it's own way.

Traded in our 2015 Stingray 2LT for 2017 GS 2LT. Loved the Stingray but now love the GS even more. When we saw our 2015 vette on dealer's lot for sale, we no longer felt it belonged to us since some of the personal mods were gone. It was just another vette. The GS is super in performance and looks.

As great a car as my 20,000 mile 08 JSB Z06 was the 16 Z06 is better. Likely because it is a Vert.
