My 62 barn find, done on the cheap
I came upon this 62 that hadn't been on the road since 1977. Met the owner just by chance on a bike path. Long story short, he was in his mid 70s, and just didn't have the ability to bring it back to life. I had to court him for two years before he would let it go. Anyway, here's a photo of when I brought it home, and then a few of what it looks like today. I replaced everything that had liquid in it except the engine block. then stripped three paint jobs off of it, and down to raw glass all over. Made some fiberglass repairs, and fixed some previous repair attempts by others... then learned body work and painted my first car ever at 60 years old LOL No other hands have touched this car but mine since I brought it home. It has a 66 Chevy II 327/350 (yea, the good one)and a 4-speed. Take a look... I'm pretty happy with my effort! ..... oh by the way... I favor the Drag Race style, and this ride was brought back to life on the cheap

WOW! Wade that look soooo nice. It's so nice, why don't you sign up for the Hot Rod Power Tour for June and follow me and possibly Dan Fellner riding with me? It starts in Kansas City. Dennis
