X-Pipe and Tour/Stealth Mode - I don't want to mess it up
I'm very close to just getting an X-pipe (probably the Corsa) but I really don't want to mess up the quiet Tour/Stealth mode.
After an X-Pipe, is Tour mode still quiet on the highway and at idle? Or is it now like Track mode was stock? Or something in between?
On my old C4 I installed an adjustable cat-back and it was the WORST thing I ever did. It made the car suck on the highway (droning). I hated it.
I really would love a more aggressive note in Sport/Track but I don't want to mess up the car's personality in Tour/Stealth.
Can anyone who's done the X-pipe and who also cares about Tour mode comment on the results?

stealth mode is still dead quiet, touring mode has no drone on the highway and when at a constant speed you can't even hear the exhaust. Track mode is a beast! however even with track mode i can still barely hear the exhaust on the freeway at a constant speed, no drone. Its only when you step on the exhaust in track is when you hear how loud it is.
I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

You're welcomed to test it yourself (like I did) instead of relying on someone else to do the labor.

If you install a full exhaust such as the Corsa Xtreme axle back system with X-pipe, I know you lose NPP, however does that then effect the various programmable modes? Are they inter-related?

Yes...........there are valves in front of the NPP muffs that work with the different modes. A full exhaust swap will delete (bypass) them. Some folks bypass them to make the stock exhaust louder in all modes. There are threads posted here about it.

If I swap out a full exhaust, my right foot will control the volume and as a previous Corsa owner, I know there is no drone with highway cruising.
Outside of the sound, does swapping out the full exhaust have any other effect on the selected driving modes?

Sounds like most people are confident that (a) it doesn't change the idle or cruise characteristics in Tour, (b) sounds good when WOT, and (c) probably isn't a big perf win.
Any dissenters to what I've just said?
Thanks for the info!
