Default Back to stock exhaust

My ears are loving not having drone. Stock exhaust is so silent, it's almost a shame Chevy does this to a Corvette...but man am I loving it! As a daily driver, 2.5 years of drone from B&B Bullets was enough, I'd had it.

In hindsight, I probably would have enjoyed having an bi-modal exhaust installed for when I do want to hear more rumble. But I got such a good deal on a non-NPP that I couldn't pass it up.

Now I hear the engine more clearly, road noise, creaks, and all the other little things that I think are important to keep me more attentive to what's going on with the car. I'm hoping this will help in some regard when I road race.

Future plans are to add long tubes and x-pipe, but keep same exhaust to see if that's a good middle of the road with respect to sound inside the cabin. If that doesn't make the car purr like I want it to, then will try out the bi-modal...not sure if OEM or another set of Billy Boats, but that's down the road. For now I'm enjoying a new and quieter version of my car.

I have to say that the NPP w/remote is such a tremendous and valuable performance feature that without it either way I would be unhappy as would be my wife. She suffers from tinnitus so drone is multiplied 10 times, for me I love switching it open but for her I close it, everybody is happy
One of the best features Chevy has come up with IMHO

Its even dead quiet with headers and no cats with the flaps shut. I like it because I can hear the blower easier

I had B&B Bullets on my C5 - was fun for a while but the drone got old quick. I put a set of Corsa Sports on my 2007 and haven't looked back, probably one of the nicest sound exhausts out there.

I love the Corsa Sports, just perfect for me.

The stock non NNP is just silent.

The road noise is more a problem but non RF tires do help. Still though the highway is nosey.

My car has 1-7/8 headers with no cats and I couldnt be happier with the NPP exhaust I got off CL. Open flaps when I want the music or closed on the hwy/interstate to keep the old lady happy.

For years I was a fan of Red's stock exhaust. So were my neighbors. But in my last trip back to Ossining, Chuck Mosello (Chuck/CoW) installed a set of NPPs along with a terrific Sunset Orange Creations Elite controller. Now with a simple push of a button Red switches from purr to supercharged roar, and back again. I love it.

Install the following system... Kooks lt's / Kooks xpipe with cats/ Corsa sport axle back & you will have no drone at any speed with good sound without extreme noise

i think the road noises/ creaks are just normal when i talked to GM while back. For example when going over certain bumps and if you hear a slight suspension creak in the back, its just how the car is and lube would possibly fix it but its not necessary

BS. Exactly why many of us stay away from dealerships. My 2007 is silent. I fixed the creaking roof, replaced sway bar end links, replaced the diff fluid and shot a couple of pumps of grease in the two rear zerk fittings. About $200.00 and about 2 hours of my time total. No creaks, clunks or rattles at all.

loud noises id be concerned though. I should shoot some grease in my rubber bushings as they make slight noise over bumps, but not really a concern

One on each side behind the rear wheels. Can't really see them unless you remove the rear tire. I noticed them when I was replacing my end links. Looked it up and they are the only two on the car. Base cars without Z51 option do not have them.

My '08 had BB bullets installed when I bought it. Couldn't wait to get back to stock NPP's.
I love the fact that I can make it quiet on longer drives and louder when I want it to sound off!

Blown GS here with long tubes , catless x pipe & BB fusion m2w. Looking to go back to OEM NPP possibly. Car is ridiculously loud open, even closed its too loud. Dead quiet when closed would be nice for long trips, how does it sound when opened?

I have the BB Fusion exhaust and I love it. Loud when you want and quiet enough to take a call when you don't.
