ABS splitter recomendations?
I am looking at adding a front splitter to my '06 standard model. I have noticed a lot of fiberglass and carbon fiber splitters with cracks, damage, etc. Due to this my preference is to find a good ABS black finish splitter and have found a few, but was wondering if anyone has any advice on one being better than another?

I just bought a similar one. No instructions, but it did come with some self tapping screws that probably won`t hold it on past 50 mph. I contacted the seller and he recommended bolts with nuts and some double sided tape. I have to drill holes in the splitter. Can someone give some installation advice?

Sure, you may or may not have to trim the ends where they will contact the wheel well moldings so that the splitter lines up with the bumper cover.
Its handy to have 2 sets of hands to hold it in place while the helper marks out where to drill holes in it.
Best advice, take your time, measure twice, cut/drill once
For the little stiffeners/braces in the vent slots you will have to get longer screw than the original ones, I used some fender washers underneath for added support, that is if you decide if you want them.
Good luck

Since you asked about a base model splitter, I think I'd go with this one.

I like the looks of it and the price isn't that bad.

Thanks all! Seeing these photos and reading the text you have convinced me and yes I love that even if you smack it, you just buy a new one! I have seen way too many carbon fiber and fiber glass splitters cracked or scuffed up. I am not quite sure why GM didn't go ABS for a piece that vulnerable.
Being it is cold now and not being driven this will be in my purchase future after Christmas!!!!

My splitter had indentations that indicted the location of the OEM clips, you will have to measure as accurately as you can to drill holes that match up with the OEM clips then use the same screws that you took out of the old one. It helps to have a someone to hold it obviously while you measure.

Can also check fitment by placing old splitter over the top to check marks from factory on new splitter.
