Default 2006 C6 speaker noise

When starting my 2006 c6, a sound comes from the left speaker as if the radio is coming on. It lasts only a second and the radio display does not come on even for that one second. This happens randomly, not every start. Radio is the base model, no nav and single cd. Radio works fine and no other electrical issues. Not sure if this is a speaker problem or the radio. This has been happening for some time. A minor issue that I didn't want to tear the car apart to fix. Help/info appreciated.

You need to be a tad more specific.

What kind of noise? Rattle, whine, pop ???

Could be a loose connection giving intermittent feedback, or any of a number of other things, but we'd need a little more information to narrow it down.

It sounds as if the radio is coming on...the sound is not discernible i.e. Voice or music because the sound is so brief....as if the radio was on with sound turned off and you quickly turned the sound up/down....you couldn't tell if you heard music or voice just the audible sound of the volume being turned up then down quickly. Best I can describe it.

Sounds like a loose connection grounding out or a short. You might not want to, but you'll have to pull the radio and/or the door panel to check your connections.

Not sure is the base radio uses the lf speaker for warning chimes (lights on, door open etc.) like the nav does, might want to check that too.
