Default Will 305/35/18 fit on Base C5 with 10.5 rims?

I am about to purchase tires and I have staggered Zo6 replica wheels with 10.5 on a base C5 coupe.. Currently I am running 285/40/18 and I stuck my hand back by the wheel well and felt pretty tight. If I decided to get the 305's would it start rubbing the rear fender well? Do I have to modify anything? Thanks Chris

I have 305/35-19 Nitto NT05's on mine, and they're fine.
If you have any rub, just tweak the ride height a little. It's a very simple thing to do on the C5.

it should fit, whether it rubs or not will depend how low the car is... my 305/35/19's rubbed a small hole in the inner fender liner towards the front on one side when it was strapped down on a dyno but it's fine during all other circumstances... this won't pertain to you since you have a base but if you have a z06 or a coupe/vert with rear brake ducts you might have to remove them, mine were touching the tire and it would have destroyed them if I left them on
