Default Grill mod compete $30 and 20 minutes

Just had that ugly chrome bar in the grill wrapped in black metallic 3m wrap. Instead of buying a whole new grill and removing the old one. This was much easier and faster. Came out perfect looks like factory.

Scorvette08 I guess that works as well if you're into putting electrical tape on your $50k+ car. As for me I like things to be done right and professionally, which is why I paid a shop to do it and do it well. Any new Yorkers interested in doing this, the stinger stripe, or the roof panel contact roman at exclusive vinyl on Long Island. He does a great job.

Blacking out the "retainer" looks good with the black wheels!

Several folks, including myself have used the electrical tape with great results. While it might sound like a half *** attempt to cover the chrome strip, it's really not much different than putting a piece of vinyl over it and I would hardly call it ricer. Fact is, if you saw my car you wouldn't be able to tell if it was vinyl or electrical tape until you started trying to peel it off. I too scoffed at the idea of using the electrical tape but went a head and tried it on mine while I was waiting on the vendor to send me my carbon flash vinyl strips, but the electrical tape turned out so damn good, I left it on. I'll eventually put the carbon flash vinyl on, if/when the electrical tape comes off, but it looks so good, I'm in no hurry.

Why didn't you get the carbon flash badge option that blacked out all chrome trims?

Also, others have used the spray plastidip with great success as well.

Brooklyn, I'd be completely floored if I went to any shop in New York and had any type of service or work performed and told the shop to "do the job well" and the charge to me was $30.

Well then floored you will be if you go to exclusive vinyl in Long Island. They also did my roof wrap and stinger stripe for only $300 and did a fantastic job.

Baby steps.

Last week, black wheels, this week, black grill, next week black badges.

If he keeps it up, eventually it will be jail time. It's a well-known oppression, er, progression. ;P

Because one-dimensional is, well, one-dimensional. A little contrast is not a bad thing.
