Default 450-500whp Traction issues or not really?

For anyone running these number @ the wheels, how are you dealing with traction on the street?

With a good tire you are good. You can't dump it, but you can leave good, and once rollin lay into it. You will want to go to a R compound tire to have fun.

When my car made 500 it hooked fine on the street with a drag radial from a 20mph roll. My car is an auto.

Down force, coefficient of friction, area of contact.
A big fat sticky tire, nothing better than a 13 inch wide contact patch of stick tire,on a car with a 50:50 weight distribution. With an aspect ratio taller than 40.this lage sidewall allows for more potential energy to be turned not kinetic energy applied to the ground.

I run Michelin Sport cup 345 30 19. Not a drag radial but a Tire that does it all but more oriented for handling. If you want more straight line fun M/T ET radial SS.

514-crank/460wheel, running Bridgestones. It's not an issue unless I make it an issue; 100% streetable with an LS7 clutch.

All depends on throttle management. I can be all over the road and have zero traction or I can hook and book no traction problems at all. Just depends on throttle modulation.

Just as Dave mentioned, with the right tire you can roll into it. Once you're moving and the suspension is loaded up, drop the hammer and let 'er rip. I run Toyo R888's and have no issues putting down 638rwhp without even warming up the tires.

Here is the car at a 1/2 mile event on a dirty runway surface, no prep and no burnout. A quick roll into first then stood on it.

Continental Extreme Contacts here.

Leave the TC on and you are fine. I can kick sideways from a stop is I feel like scaring the passenger, but under most fun driving situations you won't be spinning.

Turn the TC off and you can spin out nice and quick.

Leave TC on? That defeats the whole point of getting a tire that has enough grip.

agreed

I'm on some dinky 295's made in china and ive never had traction issues or lost control

Its more of a driver thing then a tire thing in my opinion
