C5s at Barrett-Jackson
Barrett-Jackson has plenty of Corvettes, as you might expect, although not many C5s. Here are a couple I saw today, a 2004 Z06 Commemorative and a 1997 red coupe with 65,000 miles. The '97 sells tonight. Any predictions what it will bring?

Remember gang, this is Barrett-Jackson, where money doesn't seem to matter to some people if they get five minutes under the lights on the big stage. That '97 sold for...
$22,000 (not including the buyers premium).

That 97 is missing the factory wheels and is far from what I would call low miles. Regardless, the seller did good and is leaving happy. Should be interesting to see what a few more selling like this will do to the C5 market. Like it or not, auctions like B-J, Mecum, and others end up dictating what cars are "valued" and sold at.

Here's another C5 I'm eager to see cross the block later this week. It's a red 1999 coupe with 5,400 miles. The info sheet says it is all original. Correct me if I am wrong, but those exhaust tips look a little big to be original.

Based on what the 97 sold for the 99 should fetch 35 plus

$22K for a '97 with 65K miles. I need to bring my car to Barrett Jackson.

Nothing special that I could see. The first wave of cars to cross the block usually is pretty ordinary. They typically save the special stuff for the telecast, and there was no live TV coverage of today's sale.
