The Wife got a C6......
After 3-1/2 years of C5 ownership the Vette thing has worn off on my wife (never thought that would happen!) and she asked me what I thought of selling her daily driver Jeep Wrangler and getting a AO C6 so she could have her own as the C5 just sees weekend duty and she has always been intimidated that she might hurt my (our) toy. So long story short my search began and we found this 43k mile example, we had set out at possibly getting a new Challenger or Camaro as her other daily driver is a 2007 Mustang GT 5-speed but to us getting a clean C6 with relatively low miles would be a better deal than taking the new car hit and have another muscle car next to the GT and 1/2 the price of a new Challenger/Camaro. Kind of funny as I remember 3 years ago when we went on a Vette run (our first) she remarked at one of the rest stops and pointed at a AO C6 "I could own that" now she does.

Before I actually drove both c5z and c6 coupe I was trying to decide between the two. I wanted either a jsb or AO in the c6 if I was going to go that route. Problem I had with AO was that my previous 350z was lemans sunset metallic, and I felt like Nissan made the color pop more.
Congrats on the new car, and the old one looks pretty darn good too!

Two are always better than one. BTW driving her car on occasion will make you appreciate your C5 even more.

when I began 'looking' again almost 2 years ago, I wanted either a Nassau Blue C5 coupe with chrome'd wagon wheels, or an Atomic Orange C6 coupe with chrome wheels:
unable to find anything fitting that bill close to home, I bought this Electron Blue Coupe, and added C6-style chrome wheels instead
you have both

My son-in-law stole a car like that about 5 years ago. He got an 06 with 11454 miles from one of his buddies for $25,000. He bought the car for about 10 grand less than market at the time. He still has it and drives the wheels off of it.

Congrats on the C6. Two very good looking cars.
This is almost exactly what happened to me. "We" bought a C5 in 2013 and 3 years later she wanted a C6 for herself and the C5 became "mine". It was time to trade in her SUV, but we decided to just keep it and add the C6 as an incremental vehicle. We went with different colors...
And then we had to figure out how to get all of the cars in the garage for winter in the northeast...

Congrats, love that color. My wife did the same thing she had a 05 cts v which had the same ls6 6 speed that my 03 z06 has in it. The 6 speed was wearing on a bad knee when she got caught in some bad Houston traffic one week. Althouge she loved the caddy she told me she really needed to get a different car with an auto transmission, i asked her what she wanted and to my surprise she said a corvette. Well we found a nice low mile Monterey Red 06 coupe. Now we had 3!!!!! She kept it about 3 years and decided to trade it for a '12 cts v that now came with automatic transmissions . She really liked her corvette but really missed her first cts v and really really likes her new one.
here's a pic of the three on the driveway!
