ref: 1996 corvette lt4 6sp

Does anyone out there know the metric thread size of the internal thread in the bell housing for this stud?.

If you have the clutch fork pivot stud in your hand, take it to Lowe's or Home Depot and try it on their thread finder.

My first thought is M24X2.0 and to confirm this if you have one of the OE wheel nuts the external thread of those is I'm quite sure M24X2. This is somewhat of a WAG but I'd think so. If you have the stud removed try one of the plastic caps.

Call Jim @ PTS for confirmation. If you need a stud or the retainer I believe he can help you.

Post back what you learn!!!

I am sure that the ball stud is 24mm x 2.0. I emailed bill at billb@zfdoc.com and he confirmed that the internal thread in the bell housing was 24mm x 2.0

Thanks for your input

I was quite confident of the M24X2.0 spec but I thought it wise to tag it with the "WAG" and mention confirming with PTS - I understand that BB is from time to time difficult to connect with.

***I had the same issue with this thread as I have from time to time with "dt86" and "Handsome Mike" when they're the most recent responder. I can't see the response until I actually click the "reply" button.
