Default Why a Perfect Tune and Correct Cam is a Must!!!

A customer brought us his C6 in for a few touch ups. The car had been to several well know performance shops in the Houston area. We were pretty amazed to find what was wrong with this car. To start off it had the incorrect cam gear on it and the tune looked like a 4 year tuned it. We changed the cam gear and built him a custom cam. Needless to say the customer now has the beast he should of had a long time ago.

In the only picture in the thread....

One graph shows 520/491
The other shows 748/682

That's ~228/191 increase. OP said they made changes and posted results. We want to know how to get said results. I too would like 228 more HP from a cam/tune

It was the wrong cam gear and old tune was garbage. They aren't saying that everyone that installs a cam and re-tunes is going to pick up 200+rwhp

Have something mechanically installed wrong, or wrong parts, and then fix the parts.
Car won't read cam timing correctly with wrong cam gear, so couldn't be tuned properly.

I thought MTI was out of the modding/tuning game anyway. They switched it up and started selling high end cars years ago.

Correct, All I am stating is make sure you guys choose a good shop and a tuner that knows what he or she is doing. I wish we could gain 200 rwhp out of every car with a cam change and tuning.

We are back!!! Too many hack shops in Houston. Jayson is still the owner and still is designing cam profiles.
