Possible C6 Purchase
Hello Corvette folks.
It has finally come time that I am able to purchase my first Corvette. After 30 years of obsession.
I am currently eyeing this one I found. It right at the top of my price range but the miles aren't too bad, it seems the paint is in good shape as well as the interior. It's a 3LT optioned car.
I appears that the side markers have been tinted, I think it has Power Stop rotors on the front, miss-matched tires with terrible Lion Hart's on the front. It may be lowered but I can't quite tell.
I have come to ya'll for some opinions on this car. It will be 90% commuting type driving with the occasional HPDE (1-2 times a year).

Thank you for any input you may provide.

The price is good depending on the mileage.. I don't think it's lowered but hard to tell for sure. Get the GMVIS report free from any dealer to see what was serviced at the dealer. Tires are expensive on this car so keep that in mind. You can also try and negotiate a better price
Good luck

Thanks guys. I have been doing a lot a searching lately. Being in Texas we don't see as much "winter market" for things so price to mileage is about average.
It is not an F55 car, I have a picture of the RPO sticker. (The F55 cars have a big dial I believe next to the button).
Thank you for the GMVIN check, I will have a dealer pull that for me.
I am certainly still keeping my eyes open. This is the first one I've been serious about looking at, but I am 200miles from the car.

Nice looking example, but maybe keep looking as i think you'll find a lower mile car for that price. I think if you bumped up to 20k, you might have a 65k-70k mile 2007. If 18k is your budget, perhaps look for a 2006. I bought a 2007 with 49k miles, Z51 package for $19,995 in Stillwater MN last month. Good luck with the search

In my opinion too much money for the mileage on a 07.

While this seems like high miles, if the car is what you want, then drive down and check it out. I don't have a sense for how their price compares to KBB. I only hope you have cash in hand, the only way to buy a used car. Images on a site don't tell you what you need to know, so if you are really interested - no substitute for checking it out in person, but do your homework and then be willing to walk away, but don't pay a premium for it. If you like what you see, then have a mechanic check it out for you. If it still checks out, then make an offer. A dealer may play hardball, but cash speaks, especially toward the end of the month, when salesman are trying to make their numbers.
Good luck!

with 108K, and no flex in pricing, I would pass. Autonation and Carmax have very much middle of the road pricing, so you will never get a great deal, but you won't get stung, either.
More better for you to spend some time cruising cars.com and cargurus.com. You can easily get into a decent '08 for the same money and slightly fewer miles. You have waited 30 years...don't jump on the first one you like just because it is in your price range. Spend a few more weeks getting familiar with what else is available.

I would wait until you can afford something a bit better. Or look at a C5. There's not that much difference in appearance, and there are some decent ones out there. I understand you're anxious to get into a Vette, but nearly 110,000 miles is too much to blow $20K on.

never hurts to make an offer. A lot less miles, close to you, and clearly well taken care of.

Nah!! Keep looking. Like some of us said "Add a few more bucks and get a lower milage one and maybe an 08" you'll have a smile as big as the sunshine!

My top top top budget is $18k.
I have been scouring Autotrader and Cars.com and Craigslist.
The hard thing is finding something with a 6spd manual and a coupe.
And searching "manual" as a filter will yield lots of automatics that have been put in wrong by the seller.
Thank you to everyone for your input.

There are allot of very nice C-6 Corvettes out there for sale. The prices are the lowest of the year right now until about March. Don't get in a hurry and find exactly the car that you want. The rule of thumb is to find the lowest mile and highest optioned car that you can comfortably afford. Make sure that you love the car, you will be looking at it every day.
