Default Anything can be done...Anything

It only takes money... in this case, that " setup " was 3500.00 dollars.

That radio is 2800 dollars in the box, and requires extensive structural changes behind the Bezel..

People are concerned about removing the support for a standard 2 din radio. Putting a nine inch box in a 7 inch hole can be very costly.

The hole is 8" but what's an inch among friends.

Really?

The US standard for a DIN radio is 7" x 2" (although the actual 180 mm width converts to something like 7-3/32" so most people use 7-1/8" to allow for clearance) and the Double DIN sized radio is a 7" x 4".

Just an FYI from me to you.

Well, I had to look up the specs on my unit, as it's supposedly an 8" unit and my car is in storage so I can't throw a ruler on it right now. I ASSumed that was the width as mine seems wider than most other double DINs. It's the same width as the HVAC controls, whereas other DDs seem to be considerably narrower. The specs do indeed say the chassis is DD, 7x4. Maybe the 8" is a diagonal measurement? Maybe its surround makes up the difference...
