Default It's A Cold And Misty Morning In Maryland . . .

. . . but I just had to get the '66 out for a short drive and verify that my winter projects are now behind me. I had developed a speed vibration late last year . . . and that led to a new 5th gear in my transmission, as well as a total rebuild of my half shafts (had one very bad u-joint and one bad flange). I also noticed that my fuel sender was "weeping" when I was putting the rear suspension back together. I replaced the sender yesterday and, in spite of the less than ideal conditions this morning - I had to go for a drive this morning! The good news - my transmission whine and driveline vibration are gone! My car ran great - Spring can't come soon enough!!!

Glad to hear you're all sorted out.

Ironically, as soon as the NE gets nice weather, it'll be too hot to drive my non-A/C car. It'll be Camaro /F-150 time in April so I can ride comfortably.

I'll be getting the '66 up on the lift soon (motor install) and need to go over my U joints as well.

Happy driving!

Nice! Enjoy it as much as possible. This time of the year out where I am offers some of the best driving, which is year-round (most of the time!)

I never imagined I would see a Frog and Toad reference on a corvette forum.. Made my day! That was one of my favorites as a kid so when my wife and I found out we were having our daughter I ran out and got a copy.

Is the pic of your '64? I'll have to cruise up and introduce myself sometime in the summers since we spend a lot of time at our home in Bethany. Dennis

Congrats Tom. I hope to have my 1960 back from the painter and on the road by late Spring and maybe we can get together for a ride.

Hot, my weather station reported gusts up to 42mph, chance of hail and tornadoes here near Orlando.....wife is making chili con carne and we aren't going ANYwhere...and of course some clown was running around on the lake in about a 14 foot bass boat in the middle of this, without a life jacket on - freakin' idiot...

In years past, I've twice had to rescue morons from capsized boats - too old and gimpy to do it now....
