A friend got hit bad in his 2010 vette. The car is totaled and was asking me what I think the motor is worth. It has 17k on it and no mods. If he pulls it, what is a fair value for the motor?

it all depends - if it is JUST the long block - maybe $3 - 3500. If it is a complete engine - long block, manifold, throttle body, fuel rails, and accessory drive items it is worth a lot more maybe $5000. If you throw in the ECM add another $500 and it would be great for a street rod or another swap.
