Default X-pipe installed

I put the Borla X pipe on and found some not so nice stock welds, Matter of fact once i took down my tunnel plate i noticed black exhaust soot on the plate (see pics) so a closer look shows a hole never welded fully, plus all the weld look like a newbie welder job.
Now the X pipe did a nice job on the sound and at about 3 k rpm it starts too bark and letting off, the gas , alot more crack and pop. So very pleased with the results. total time 1 hr too install But i have a Max Jack lift so it was easy to get under the car

Hmm, MIG robot must have been having a bad day! Probably Monday production and it was out drinking on the weekend!

One thing about a robot welder, if there is something wrong, like wire feed issues, it will keep on making inferior welds until it shuts down!

Believe all exhaust system parts are made with robots not folks manually welding. Should have been caught in inspection or by the robot technician who sets up the system!

The good thing is you have single exhaust now. Before you had that horrible dual exhaust and sound.

Yikes... that is def not what I expect from a premium priced product. More like what I would expect from a $99 eBay bestChina x-pipe

Apparently, OP was talking about the OEM pipe.

Carry on...

Some of you guys didn't read correctly. The OP said the stock X pipe had the bad welds/hole, not the Borla X pipe.

Wait, the photo of the crappy welds is the stock pipe isn't it? I'm confused now.

Edit: Thanks! I thought I read it right.

Hmmm... wonder what was so confusing about that???

If that's the case (and its the OEM pipe with the bad welds), then I'm relieved -- would hate to think Borla slipped that much!

I put the Borla Catless X-pipe on along with AFE CAI. The sound is incredible but I added the mild to wild so I do have more control.
