First time buyer need help in South Dakota
Not a car guy but looking forward to learning. I am looking at a 2008 LS3 Convertible with 16,000 miles on it at local Chevy Dealer. I have only talked to salesman on phone because saw something I am not familiar with. It has a twin turbo mod. Not sure what to ask when I go there tomorrow? He told me it has 700 hp but can't be sure. If I had some questions to go in with so I have some idea what to walk away with. Or would you just run from this? Sorry not more knowledgeable.
Please help.
Please help.

Sioux Falls has a fine Corvette Club, you should be able to mine the members for advice and expertise on purchasing a Corvette.

Try to find someone who can check it out really well for you. If this car has the mods you would like to do to an LS3 C6 already done, was done properly and is in good shape, you could save money over buying a similar car and then having these mods done. If it looks shaky in any way, walk away from it.

'Not being a car guy' is a TT setup something he wants to get into? I wouldn't think so, but may be wrong.
I don't know what kind of maintenance is needed on them.

i'm a recent first time buyer also. bought my '05 bone stock. it's the first performance car i've ever owned and with just the un-modded 400hp ls2 engine it's been quite a different driving experience than i've ever had before. my question would be: have you previously owned higher-powered performance cars in the past? if not, are you sure you want to jump right in with a 700 hp monster like that?
