PDR Video editor?
Does anyone know of a free software to trim the videos into usable file sizes. There must be some sort of video trimmer for a PC without having to buy a software package.

You can still download Microsoft Movie Maker for Win 10 (or earlier) at no charge, google it for the Microsoft download site. I have used it and it works although it is a bit clumsy. For a large video count on it taking a while to process the file. My HP twin Xeon CPU engineering workstation took about 10 minutes to prep a 1 hour file I shot during a trip.

Can't seem to get it to run not sure why this is very frustrating!
I started the PDR and just let it run for about 30 min but all I want is about a 30 second clip but what a project this is something that should have taken me about 5 min and it's been hours for something that isn't even important! What a waste of time

I've usually had one as part of various packages I've got, so I haven't tried any of the free ones. Here's a list of some you can try:

I use the latest version of RaceRender. There is a free version that will work.
The big issue with using any editor that I have found is the embedded data is stripped from the video. You will not be able to take a short clip of a video and then use Cosworth Tool Box to look at vehicle data.

I download VSDC video editor for free it asks you to upgrade but it doesn't make you and it does what I needed which is really just trim the length but it does much more as well.
I found this on youtube not saying it's me but I know the area well

Using Win 10 there isn't a lot. MS Movie Maker will not work. There was one nice free version that I tried but it put a big logo in the center of the picture and you had to purchase the full package to get rid of it.

Thanks for the info on this software. I downloaded and have been experimenting with it. It seems to be really nice especially for the price...

I'm aware the OP asked about video editors for a PC, so this is just additional info about possible alternatives. If he has access to a Mac, the included iMovie will perform the desired edits on PDR files from my '15. I also use Garmin's Virb Edit software, available for both Mac and PC/WinTel.

For some reason I could not get the file to open on my wife's mac but I'm sure it is something I was doing wrong. I'm not a Mac guy I'm sure my kids could have gotten it to work without an issue but neither are around these days.
