You could easily fit hundreds of CD's onto a USB stick and just keep that plugged in? A little time to rip the CD's but then you wouldn't need to find a place to mount a CD player.

I use windows media player to rip I think 320 Kbps MP3s, and dump em on a $20 64GB USB mem stick that is about the size of a modern automotive fuse. So small it's hard to remove the thing. Will hold your entire audio book collection orders of magnitude over. Next you'll wanna put some music on it. Once you figure it out it's easy. The gf has a similar setup in her car and can put stuff on it without bugging me...

Every time someone starts a thread like this, the thumbdrive boys come in and accuse the OP of being a Luddite.
There isn't anywhere in the car where a CD player will fit well, and few installers even want to try.
I looked at many solutions for a player, nothing was really workable.
Eventually, I just gave up and listen to the damn radio.

Considering that many of us have hundreds of hours of recorded music we'd like a convenient way to be able to listen to what we already have - USB sticks allow us to do just that easily.

I don't know if it's possible on a C7, but when I added a CD player to my BMW back in the 80s, I mounted it under the driver's seat and routed the power and audio cables up through the center console to the radio. It worked great for the years I owned the car.

You all know, that some people still like Quality sound. and MP3 isn't it...
Just saying. Cd's played through even the AUX jack sound worlds better.
And forget about streaming bluetooth..That's as bad as FM radio.

As others have said, this question has been asked several times since the C7 was introduced. In that time, I have not seen a good integrated solution posted.

I find with the 600+ "Oldies" on an SD card, Janis Joplin singing "Cry Baby" sounds just as good with the added subwoofer in my 3LT, just need to increase the volume to drown out other sounds!

I do both. I have a staggering MP3 collection, so why stream stuff and waste my data plan or space on my phone when I can stuff thousands of songs on a stick the size of my thumbnail?
