Good... I can't stand the lowered look, where the gap is small at the top of the wheel and fat at the sides.
If the car were aesthetically designed to BE lowered and look right, I'd like a lower ride height and center of gravity. I'm just not willing to live with the ugliness of lowered cars with incorrect/ugly tire gaps.
I realize I'm in the minority, but unless and until the car looks right lowered, mine will stay factory ride height.

Just a point of clarification - "track day" is not "racing". What racing org do you run with? I don't see the stickers for one.
That said, glad to see you are taking the car to the track. May your oil and water temps stay low, good luck and enjoy.

Ready to race sounds better than:
Ready to participate in an HPDE event at my local track with my specific run group with point-by passing, no sponsors in 3, 30 minute, non-timed, non-scoring sessions this coming Saturday and Sunday.

Lol this thread is funny.
OP are you planning on running on 18's or factory wheels with Cup tires?
I don't race mine, other than 1/4 mile, but I'm envious of you guys that do. Have fun!

Track days are about learning how to drive fast, working on better lines, different brake points, etc. Passing is with point bys or in no point by groups the slower person makes room for the faster person. In either case the person being passed doesn't race the other driver to the next turn or turns. The idea is to be safe.
There is a common misperception that HPDEs are racing. However, if you get caught racing with somebody else you get black flagged and warned. Repeat too many black flags and you are asked to leave.

Always love when the HPDE organizers catch newbs with the race question.
'Who here is ready to have a great race?!?'
...Newbs enthusiastically raise hands with giant grins of excitement...
'Guys, this isn't a race. It's driver education. If I catch you racing you're gone.'
