What's the best steps to take with a brand new Grand Sport?
I'm picking up my new Grand Sport this week. What's the first things I should do or be aware of? Should I wash and wax it? I know the break in is 500 miles. I heard not to use eco mode within that time. Any info would help. Thx.

Should be nice and clean from the dealer and not need an instant wash/wax. I'm going the Xpel route, if you are considering that do it sooner than later. They will also detail it.
Learn everything you can, read a lot. That's what I would do first!

When you pick it up check the oil level after the oil is hot, per the manual. After the engine is off, use your watch and check after 5 minutes but before 10. If you wait more than 10 you could get a false low reading as oil drains back from the tank to the pan past the scavenge pump gears.
Be sure it's not overfilled above the Max line. Half way between add and max is fine. If excessive oil it could come out with the burped air from the tank to the intake.
Clay, wash and put a clear seal on anytime you'd like. Wax went our several years ago.
Be prepared to change brake pads! Ceramic pads have much less dust, like 80% or more. Most important the dust will not pit the wheels like OEM pads. I plan to have my pads in hand when my planned GS is delivered. I was having to clean my Z51 wheels every two trips to town-about 100 miles in total! Should have changed my pads sooner.
Best of luck.

I wouldn't overly worry about it. Personally I tried to stay on back roads so I could vary the RPM (as opposed to steady state cruise control for 500 miles) and do short trips to get some good heat cycles into the engine. Oil change at 500 miles like you mentioned.
Other things I did right away was XPEL, window tint, and splash guards. And don't forget to sign up for Ron Fellows! Wash it if it gets dirty but I wouldn't be too concerned about waxing it right away.

^^^ Thanks. Yep if tracking the OEM pads are fine since you'll clean the wheels after each event. I used a Carbotech 1521's that are great for the street but not recomended for tracking. However once you wear the OEM pads, Carbotech has racing pads that are compatible with 1521's without cleaning the residual on the rotors. Easy enough to swap.
Watch that pitting on black wheels. I have black wheels and no problem if you clean the wheels every 100 miles! What a PIA!

If you are particular I personally would not let the dealership wash it UNLESS you look over their equipment/materials they'll be using. The drying process is where you'll get most of the damage. I prefer doing all the washing/drying myself. Otherwise you may get a new car that needs a paint correction right off the bat. I would also advise the dealer not to put their Dealer logo on the car which is something you'll just want to remove when you get her home. Congrats on your new GS...

Use a good polish, polish removes swirls and cleans the finish. and then apply a paint sealant finish on it.

It is a new car. People have explored various brake-in procedures over the years, all successful (mostly). I don't get carried away, drive it normally keeping RPM within restricted range. Wash and detail as needed.
