Default Are these for real?

Ran across this site and started dreaming...

Scroll down, lots of C2's for under 20k. Many at half that or less.

I absolutely believe that those cars are for real and worth maybe close to what they're asking, only in that they are real C2s. Real bad C2s.

I doubt that those cars could be rebuilt for a cost equal to their value. Lots of damage with expensive parts and labor needed to repair, and insurance write-offs (read: salvage titles).

Maybe a good start for a restomod or two in the group.

A lot of those cars have been on the Internet for sale for the few years now.

There is a 67 Coupe air car fire damage, that a friend of mine purchased 2 years ago still on the web site. He sold the car at Barrett-Jackson and made lots of money.

Thats the fine print, its kind of funny they dont post their name. You have to pay a fee to bid.

I've also seen the exact same pictures on this site for the past 3 years. If these cars are REALLY available at THESE prices, they would have been all gone in the first 3 months! Just saying. Bill

This is perhaps the 6th time someone has posted about this site on this forum. This is a criminal operation that defrauds potential buyers by charging a contact/access fee that leads nowhere. No phone numbers, no people to talk to. The link NEEDS to be traced, and the website owner needs to be put in JAIL. Several on here have been duped.

When I started looking for a Corvette a year or so ago I looked really hard at this site. My thought was a water damaged car. Fiberglass body would be ok and maybe the engine, the rest would be the project.

Since I'm 73 I decided to find something running!!!!!!!

Yeah, water damaged "fiberglass bodied" cars are nothing to worry about.

If a car shows up on manheim it is probably at least a real car recently damaged. Hagerty handled my claim when I was hit by the semi, they put my car on manheim to find out what the salvage market would bear- without my knowing - a forum member (one of my regular amigos here sorry my mind slipped) noticed it and posted it on my thread!

they cannot sell it without you agreeing to do so, and the manheim fine print says so- but they can at least shop it by auction. Some of those cars will sell. This is obviously different from the original website on the thread here.

Benton.

From the question in the title I thought this might be pertaining to someones accessorized chest. Not that I am let down any to find differently.
