Upgrades are coming!
Well, its that time of year again, tax season is here and a few extra pennies to spend. What does everyone plan on buying this year? I am looking to rebuild the front end, suspension, brake system and some pieces for the interior. Interested to see what everyone else has lined up!

Tax season is always bad news for me, but I am still working on the C3. Tommorrow I am getting new Al Knock seats and foam installed.
Plans for later this year, maybe some of it into next year: Install stock stereo and new bezil (I have the new bezil already), have trailling arms rebuilt, new U-joints in short shafts, pull leaf and check it, media blast and paint as stock, pull differential, media blast and check condition-reseal-and protective (but natural looking) coating.
If I get all of that done, it will be a miracle... but you have to have goals.

I will say that I have been lucky so far. I bought my 81 a year ago and she runs and drives strong, only thing I have replaced so far was the batter, alt and belts. But being all original, it is time some things get replaced after 35 years.

Tax season not so great on me. Prevents me from getting the things I need. This weather has been killing me also. The temps are in the 60-70's which means I'm on standby to drive with the wife. I need the cold to come back so I can pull my gauge cluster to replace the temp gauge and pull the driver's dash to replace some bulbs.

Never any return from tax here for me, income tax deducted by employer before you see any $$ FWIW selling a house here if a private dwelling attracts no tax, also no tax on lottery winnings etc.
Roller cam, roller rockers alloy heads on order. Took sump off engine last night, finally a bonus (non original motor) its a four bolt block.

On my 78 Pace Car, I'm going to replace the shock absorbers with Bilstein HD ones next week. Also, I like the look of spinners on the wheels, so I ordered a set from Corvette Central and will put them on next week also. That's all for now. Don't want to get the BOSS too upset. LOL.

I just bought a dozen new injectors...and the the old saying- "Cheaper by the dozen " is NOT true!!!!
Unless you made a killing on your house - over $500K ($250k single)- THAT'S the tax exempt amount!!!
Requirements that you lived in the house ( as a primary residence) for at least two or two the past 5 years-doesn't even have to be consecutive. However, If you've rented it since 2009 (law changed) it gets a little convoluted...
AND if you are over $500/250K you can deduct improvements (but not maintenance) then there is the 1031 exchange..
Look up IRS topic "701" if you have received a 1099s
