We I have to tell ya.....I sure hope this keeps my Mustang buddies in check for the next year.Dont mean to hurt any Mustang owners feelings, I've owned a few mustangs in my day....they were fun and all that....I'll admit these newer ones are pretty bad to the bone compared to the good ol days.....I'm sure there stealing some looks at the intersections.....but when it comes to some cornering.....well let just leave it at that......Zappa.....OH once again....GET IT ON CHEVY.

That may have been why the first sentence of 1) in the article says:
But thanks for pointing it out.
The Corvette Grand Sport isn't the fastest Corvette you can buy, by any means.

With all due respect and keeping my bountiful love for the Corvette in mind, some of these times for the other cars are completely bogus. Where were these times derived? Clearly DA, track, driver, etc. should be a posted in these types of articles because all of these cars look at least half a second slower than they should be.
I too found the "corner king" statement of the article to be interesting since the writer clearly felt the need to also include quarter mile times.

Crushing may be a little overboard.....and as mentioned driver ability could make it go either way, then there's what tires are being used....we could go on and on.......but even if it was a whole second better either way...next to nobody buys a car to just do one thing.....in 30 years of driving a Corvette, none of these compared cars above ever tried to keep up with me through more then a couple corners, most don't even try....so the statements crushes is somewhat true when it comes to the BIG picture...Once again.....GO CHEVY......Zappa

well this is a waste of an article/thread. Just go look at motortrend and car&driver numbers if you want anything useful.

From what I understand and based on threads on the forum, the GS is the slowest C7 from a 30mph rolling start. From a standing start is has the advantage over the Stingray because of the wider tires and more rubber on the road. I however have no experience in a heads up race.

Seems like they chose cars that the GS can obviously beat. No surprises here. What about Hellcat, Tesla, R8... I have no idea if these beat GS but these choices would make a more interesting article.
I drive my C7, never raced. It goes well enough.
