My new LS Engine Billet Valve Cover Caps for my 64 Restomod
Hey everyone - I had Joe Lutz of Hot Rod Dynamics install a set of their killer new LS engine Valve Covers on my 64 Corvette and what a difference it makes! I have had folks look at the engine compartment and think I have a big block under the hood !! LOL
I was looking for something different to create a unique look under the hood instead of the traditional plastic OEM fuel rail covers that everyone seems to use in their rides.
Take a look:

Why I chose HRD Billet LS valve cover caps over competitors products?
1. Fitment:
HRD LS valve cover caps are precision machined to encapsulate the stock valve covers so as to give the appearance of a solid one piece valve cover. The coils are bolted into the cover first so that there is no need for two halves that separate. Also it does not look like a "coil cover".
2. Baffling:
Since HRD caps utilize the stock GM valve covers, the GM designed baffling and crankcase ventilation system is built in unlike other products that have an unbaffled valve cover design requiring the use of an external catch can.
3. Wiring:
HRD caps locate the coils in close to the stock position so that wiring harness extensions and coil relocation brackets are not required. In many cases, the stock spark plug wires can be used.
4. Customization:
The HRD valve covers were designed to be custom finished to achieve the look that the customer desires for their engine. Not only can the cap be painted, the mesh and oil filler neck are available in black or silver. The mesh top provides a blank canvas for adding logos or emblems to match the aesthetics of the car.

I'll be doing a 415 LS3 for my 61 when I get there. I'm keeping an eye out for cover choices.

Thanks for the pics. They may be very helpful in the future. I have a small 2D mill in my garage. I guess they offer the injector wire covers?

The HRD valve cover caps are machined from a solid piece of 6061 billet aluminum. A rather large piece of material that isn't cheap. There is also a ton of machine time in these units so they are not cheap to make.
However we have tried to keep the price as low as possible to be competitive even though our product offers many advantages over the others on the market. One of the main benefits besides the use of GM baffling is the ability to be customized to your particular build.
So - yes, a little "spendy" but if you are looking for something unique and fully "customizable", this is an option. When I was looking, I considered the Billet Specialties offering (which I have in my Nomad build) but that option is MORE expensive and I would have to mount a catch can for the internal baffling.
