Default My C6 won't start?

I store my 2005 coupe in a storage facility, and I got a call last week from the owner saying that with the great weather, several people have been taking their car out. When he tried to start my car to move it, it would not turn over. I haven't been able to go there and check it out, so I'm getting this second hand. He say's that the battery charger was plugged in, and the volt is good. the battery was new last fall. Any ideas? I know that the first thing I'll do is check the voltage my self, but knowing this guy, I don't doubt him. Where should I look?

I know I'm new here, but my first suggestion would be key fob battery.

That's the first place, second is a new battery. Since you are not there to tend to the vehicle, you don't know if it was already moved one or more times, and possibly something was left on. Since it "won't turn over", and unless a battery terminal has become disconnected for some reason, it pretty much has to be the battery.

You are a very trusting person...good luck.

My guess is the car battery. If the FOB battery was dead he would have told you the doors would not open.

So I'm thinking it might be the steering column lock if it isn't the battery. I'll be going over there next Friday, and I'll report back.

If the battwery is fine, and you think it's the column lock, undo your negative battery post for 10 minutes, then rehook and the will start.

We don't know if the DIC is giving the NO FOB DETECTED message, without that it's just guessing. This is the first thing for you to check.
