Akrapovič Titanium Exhaust At Weapon-X Motorsports (Video Inside)
Akrapovič Titanium Exhaust Available AT Weapon-X Motorsports
Check out Weapon-X's youtube video special on the Akapovič exhaust below. Narrated by none other than myself.

The Akrapovič Line system takes exhaust tuning to the next level. Featuring mufflers and link-pipes made from high-grade titanium to dramatically reduce the overall weight, the system provides more power, lowers back pressure, enhances throttle response, and increases torque. With four valves, the first pair operates in four-cylinder mode and the second set comes into action following the driver’s specifications. With an electronic device developed by Akrapovič engineers for the five standard GM modes—Weather, Eco, Tour, Sport, and Track—the system is perfectly matched to operate with the car’s drive mode selector. This produces an even greater range of options for the driver to fully experience the amazing sound of the car. The Akrapovic system, with a new X-pipe, provides even greater performance compared to the Slip-On Line system, and provides a pure race-note soundtrack for this stunning engine, with the enhanced sound characteristics of the V8 configuration and without any drone—just pure enjoyment. Four large-diameter carbon fibre tailpipes with titanium inners complete the appearance of the Evolution Line perfectly, making it stand out as something special.

I'm totally not trying to bash or anything but when did these exhaust companies start to price their systems like they're smoking crack? Performance parts have gotten ridiculous lately imo.

I know what you mean! I'm putting this exhaust on my ZO6 over the summer along with pulley, cai, and headers

gotta pay to play
I've heard good things about borla and corsa but akrapovic has peaked my interest more. Also, not a lot of people run with akrapovic exhaust...

The Slip on, unfortunately the x-pipe is still unavailable.
It's titanium. The extraction process of titanium ore is very expensive itself. Mandrel bending, or manufacturing one of the toughest metals known isn't exactly inexpensive either, its very hard on tooling, welding is much more involved etc.. It's is more expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

You're starting with a $100K performance car that has an NPP, mode-switching, exotic material exhaust system and then trying to improve on it. So the only way to do that is to have it made from titanium over in the East, at least right now.
Improving on awesome is expensive.
Whether it's -worth- it is left to the reader... it's primarily a sound thing because there's not much power to be found there.

Worth every penny!!!! I have mine and ever since it went on along with headers and no cats all others sound wimpy in comparison. No offense just stating my opinion. You can't beat the sound coming from those huge gaping exhaust tips!!

I have to agree worth every penny and it's on my list of upgrades. I have the full TI system on my Aprillia RF and a slip-on on my 959 Duc... the craftsmanship is just top notch. The sound and the performance are bad a$$, the good stuff costs a few bones...

Good job with the video. I'm sure Ben is proud.
I really like my Akra system, and it came from Weapon-X. Pairs well with the Corsa stainless X-pipe at a much lower cost.
